Creative Reflections
Simple ways to express, explore and integrate.
These reflections are here to help you process, integrate and consolidate the insights and learnings from our work together — the quiet integration that happens between sessions.
Sometimes healing begins before words —
in colour, movement or stillness.
In the soft space where expression becomes understanding.
Creative reflection is not about making art or writing something perfect.
It’s about letting what lives inside find safe passage out —
- allowing emotion to become image
- sensation to become story
- story to become insight
They are invitations to listen — to the quiet parts, the hidden truths, the things the body remembers before the mind does.
How to Use These Reflections
Use them gently, at your own pace.
You might choose one after a session, during a pause in your week or whenever something within you feels like it wants to move or make meaning.
There’s no right way — only curiosity, breath and presence.
Each practice helps you give form to what’s shifting, turning new awareness into something felt and embodied.
A Few Simple Ways to Begin
-
Free Writing: Set a timer for five minutes and write without stopping. Begin with the phrase “Right now, I notice…” and let your hand move faster than your thoughts.
-
Colour Mapping: Choose a colour that matches how you feel today. Fill a page or sketchbook with that colour. No shapes, no plan — just motion.
-
Sentence Completion: Finish the sentence “What I wish someone knew is…” and notice what surfaces.
-
Nature Noticing: Take a short walk and choose one thing that catches your eye — a stone, a leaf, the light. Describe it as if it were a message from your body to you.
These small creative moments help integrate what is shifting within you — transforming emotion into insight and insight into embodiment.
Expression is how the soul breathes— and how the body remembers it’s safe to live again.
